The wait is finally over!

Today, NDTV Imagine will play host to bride-to-be Rakhi Sawant and 16 potential grooms on Rakhi Ka Swayamvar, the first of its kind reality show. Known for its splendid palaces and timeless tales of love and valour, Udaipur is the host city for Rakhi’s Swayamvar.

Each week, the grooms will showcase their personality, character; physical fitness and talent, all to woo Rakhi. And eventually, Rakhi will tie the knot with one lucky guy in a grand ceremony. Actor Ram Kapoor will host this unique show.

So, who should be Rakhi's ideal man?

My list for Mr Ideal is a little big (smiles). I want someone who is good at heart. I will not go by anyone’s looks or bank balance I have enough money but I want someone who will fill the colours of love in my life. I want someone who is mature and understanding, who respects women and whom I can look up to, in difficult situations in life. Basically, he should be my support system.

From item and controversy queen Rakhi to the ideal bahu and patni...how drastic will be the image makeover for you?

I have often been given tags of an item girl and a controversy queen by the media. But no one ever tried to know who the real Rakhi is. Like any other girl even I have dreamt of a family, a loving husband and a caring mother-in-law.

I have all the qualities of an ideal wife: I am beautiful, cultured, a good cook and can take care of my house and family. What else does do you expect from an ideal bahu? I will always be what I am.

Your expectations from the Swayamvar...

All I expect is a suitable match for me. This is not a publicity stunt or an entertainment show. This is the question of my life and I am very serious about it. I just pray and only hope that I get a very understanding and caring husband at the end of the show.

What will be your first reaction if Mika poses as one of the contenders?

That is never going to happen.

Any funny incident while shooting for the Swayamvar...

Shooting has just begun and am enjoying every moment of it. But at the same time, I am very nervous and do not know what the future has in store for me. Incidents do happen, but I would want everyone to watch those moments on screen.
